Donating to CSME

As a recognized U.S. 501c3 organization, the Chattanooga Society of Model Engineers, Inc., faced with an increasing number of requests from organized groups for educational visits, has committed itself to provide facilities, which are adequate for the visiting public.

For years, we have hosted visiting groups in the limited space located within the railroad's shop, a facility that has been our temporary shelter for activities, but our numbers and visit requests have outgrown our current resources. For this reason, in 2007, CSME members sought to construct a multi-use facility that would be large enough to accommodate large groups on educational visits, especially with enough restroom facilities.

The funding for this facility and all activities undertaken for educational visits is funded by member contributions along with a few donations from visitors. Any additional funding help would be greatly appreciated and as a contribution to an educational center, donations would be considered tax deductable.
