2001 - First Loop and off into the Woods
2001 marked the first year you could actually run a train completely around the loop without having to back up. We also had one passing siding and did steam ups on any available bridge. Over 50 people showed up for the July Golden Spike ceremony marking the completion of the first loop of 695'.
By December the first wye was in place and you could turn a train. The mainline extended 260' beyond the wye.
